JAMES M. WEAVERJim Weaver is a Distinguished Military Graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi, where he majored in Public Relations and minored in music with an emphasis in theatre. As a school leader, Jim was class president, president of his fraternity, and was elected to Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. He served in the Vietnam conflict as a U.S. Army Support Platoon Leader. At Tulane University in New Orleans, Jim did master's level work in music and has since pursued his love of the stage, performing principal roles at Tulane Summer Lyric Theatre. Attending law school at the University of Georgia, Jim served as a Justice on the Law School Honor Court. In 1972, Jim joined a trial practice firm in downtown Atlanta. Admitted to the Florida Bar in 1976, Jim has begun his third decade of legal service in the Lake Wales area. He most enjoys helping his clients in estate planning and in "transaction" work - real estate and business matters. In community life, Jim has been president of both Kiwanis and Breakfast Rotary civic clubs, a past board member of the Chamber of Commerce, and presently holds board membership in Unity in Community, Inc. and Leadership Lake Wales. Professionally, Jim is President of Heartland Estate Planning Council, Inc. and is a Master level member in the Willson American Inn of Court JAMES C. McCLENDON II
Born and raised in Lake Wales, Jay returned to his roots in 2000 after a 20-year absence to raise his family and practice law in his hometown. His undergraduate degree, from Vanderbilt University, is a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a minor in Computer Science. After his college graduation in the spring of 1983, Jay spent the summer traveling throughout Western Europe on a very limited budget with college classmates. His law degree, like that of his law partner, Jim, is from the University of Georgia. They're both Bull Dawgs to the bone. Jay was admitted to practice in 1986 in both Florida and Georgia and began his legal career with a large firm in Pensacola, Florida. Four years later he moved his practice to Tavares, where he married Robin. They now home school their four children and maintain an oak tree nursery on their farm. Jay is active in his church and is a former chairman of Christian HELP, a charitable foundation that assists the unemployed gain meaningful employment. His legal practice focuses on commercial litigation, probate, real estate transactions, construction law and bankruptcy. When Jay has "spare" time, you'll find him outdoors - hunting, fishing, camping, or playing golf. TIMOTHY R. WISEMAN"Of Counsel" to the firm of WEAVER & McCLENDON, PA in tax and business matters is Tim Wiseman. From a professional perspective, as well as an academic one, Tim brings impressive credentials to his role with the firm. Born in Lincoln, Illinois, Tim attended Illinois College where he was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa scholastic honor society and where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree, graduating summa cum laude. A law school graduate of the University of Illinois, Tim holds membership in the Florida Bar. His areas of law practice include Taxation, Business, Wills, and Trusts. Tim is also a licensed CPA in the states of Illinois and Florida, and he holds memberships in the American and Florida Institutes of Certified Public Accountants. In the academic arena, he is "Dr. Wiseman", Chairman of the Business Department of Warner Southern College in Lake Wales. Scheduled to receive his MBA in Financial Planning this November from City University in Seattle, Washington, Tim is simultaneously working toward a separate Masters degree in E-Business at Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Tim is a founding Director of the Rusty Bullock Foundation, a fully qualified charitable organization that aids families with a catastrophically ill member.
