The Highlander offers something really 
different on the third Thursday of each month, beginning at
7:00 p.m. That's when the Celts of the Highlands gather. Come celebrate or discover your own Celtic roots
(you might be surprised!) and have a bit of old-world style fun!
December 1st is Speed Dating Night! Sign up early for one of the limited spots!
Your $10 fee supports a local charity, and every the first eight women are assured a private
booth at La Bella Torre for their 'speed dates' with eligible batchelors!

we host a variety of performers, songwriters and singers. We strive to provide a place where creative musicians and writers can

The Second Saturday each month is Lake Wales BikeFest, beginning at 4:00 p.m. Up to a thousand motorcycles are on display, many competing
for prizes in judged competition, and dozens of vendors offer a wide variety of great gear.
The Third Friday each month is the Friday Night Live entertainment series, with various
musical performances in locations throughout the Historic District, plus clowns, big cats from Horseshoe Creek Wildlife Refuge,
horse-drawn carriage rides, and more. It's a family fun night downtown.
Then, every Thursday is Open Mic Night, when area musicians
perform and audition for other upcoming events. Musicians, call or
